The Eco-wool weed mat squares are pre-cut with a slit to the centre to fit perfectly around the base of trees and plants. It can also be used as a liner for wire hanging baskets or use as a cover for a small worm or compost bin.
This weed mat square is made of 100% natural and biodegradable sheep wool, reinforced with jute. It gradually breaks down over a period of approximately 2 years, but the time frame may vary depending on your environment conditions.
The mat is incredibly soft and springy to the touch, and has a distinct sheep-like smell. You can secure it with weed mat pins, such as our short cloche side pins, or large stones and rocks.
