It gradually breaks down over a period of 2-3 years and is perfect for use in planting projects through the critical establishment phases. It is a natural ground cover product that can be used as a as a breathable weed mat cover, compost cover, or even worm farm cover. It is ideal for keeping birds of seeding and plantings. Great too at controlling oxalis weed.
EcoJute is cut into 500mm squares with a cut slit to the centre. Simply put them snuggly around the base of trees or use as a wire basket liner. They can be held down with weed mat pins such as our short cloche side pins or rocks.
